Happy Birthday to my sweet Rylee Lynn! I cannot believe you are eleven years old and headed to middle school this year. Where has the time gone? I am so very proud to call you mine. You are kind to the core, beautiful inside & out, and I can always count on you to brighten my day with your big smile and infectious laughter.
This past year you have grown in so many ways. Sadly, you decided to not continue with horse riding but horses will always hold a special place in your heart. I enjoyed watching you try choir for the first time and gain a new confidence on stage. You value friendship very much and keep your circle small but this year you made lots of new friends at school and in our neighborhood. I am proud of the selection of people you choose to surround yourself with because it is a direct reflection of the wonderful person you are.
Elementary school came to an end this year for you and it was very bittersweet. Lots of tears were shed but more memories were made. You did incredible your fifth grade year and had amazing teachers. You are one of the most hardworking kids I know who always gives your best effort with a great attitude. Even though you have some obstacles in learning you never let your struggles become an excuse. I am so proud of how far you have come in speech and the progress you have made this past year in school. You can do anything as long as you believe in yourself and work hard!
I love your love for family, friends, and Jesus. You are kind to all and have a heart as big as Texas. My favorite qualities about you are that you are compassionate, honest, creative, thoughtful, dependable, patient, and joyful. To know you is to love you and you are very loved by all you come in contact with. You still have a huge love for animals and after years of asking & praying for a new dog it finally happened this year. It was a huge surprise when we welcomed Charli into our family and I have never seen you happier. The love you have for Charli is unconditional and so very special. Even though she can be crazy you are crazy about her!
Being your mom has been the greatest blessing I could have ever asked for and never knew I needed. Now that you are officially in the “tween” years and entering middle school I pray that you always feel comfortable in your own skin, remember you are special just the way you are, and when it comes to friends quality is better than quantity. You are such a blessing to me and I am lucky to have a front row seat watching you in this new chapter of your life. I love you forever and will always be your number one supporter!
Love,
Mommy
For Rylee's birthday this year she opted out of a party and instead had a sleepover with her bestie. I took them to CFA, the movies to see The Little Mermaid, and came home to have tacos and ice cream cake. We surprised her a few days early with her birthday gift from us - a trampoline! :)
Birthday - woke up to us singing to her then gifts, elf visit, and birthday donuts. Next we went shopping, had lunch at Torchys (her pick), and met some of her friends at the pool. Dinner was her pick again (stir fry) and chocolate cake for dessert. It was a great day celebrating our 11 year old! :)
