Night before Kindergarten...my baby is growing up! I asked her if she was nervous and she said, "Nope. I am EXCITED for school!!!"
Happy first day of school to my sweet little girls! Cannot believe I have a Kindergartner and third grader this year!!! They are sooo happy to be in the same school together. Even though we are beginning school virtually at home they are still so excited! Praying we are only doing virtual learning for the first three weeks and then they can go to Fielder. I have no doubt they will do wonderful this year and I am just so proud of them for always staying positive and adapting to everything this crazy year has thrown their way. Here's to a great school year and a year we will never forget!!
My baby is in Kindergarten - bittersweet!!! She picked out her dinosaur dress and we gave her a special dinosaur necklace to wear for the first day. To say she is excited and ready would be an understatement. I can't wait to watch her learn, grown, and start this new chapter <3
My beautiful big third grader! She radiates joy and is so happy to be back in school! Love this sweet girl and that toothless smile :)
First Kinder Zoom - Rayna loved it! She listened, raised her hand, and met some new friends!

Thankful for these two beauties. Ready for their last day before Thanksgiving break! :)
We had to say goodbye to our sweet Mali girl on November 22nd. We are all so sad not having her here with us anymore. Our home definitely feels empty without her. I know she is finally happy & healthy once again in Heaven. Until we meet again. Love you and miss you sweet girl <3
(This is the last picture I took of Mali. She actually let me put her in my lap for the first time in a long time which was such a huge blessing. It lasted about an hour before she started having seizures that resulted in an emergency trip to the vet. We knew we had to say goodbye but not this way. It was the worst night but I know if my heart she is better off in Heaven. She will always be loved and missed!)
Thanksgiving 2020 - looked a lot different but we made it work. Changed locations to my house, ate outside, and wore masks to be extra cautious around my dad. So thankful for my family.
Things I don't want to forget:
Rayna:
- Reptile and dinosaur obsessed!
- Uses air quotes wrong all the time lol
- always the entertainment of our family!
- A few days before she goes to real school Rayna asked me during bath time, "how do I make friends in kindergarten?" I said you can say hi at your table and if they are nice ask them to be your new friend. She quickly replied, "but how because we have to stay six feet apart!"
- Rayna was talking about a Broccoliosaurus - I asked what is it? She said, "It's kind of simple, Mommy. It's just a long neck that eats broccoli. Duh! That's why it's called that."
- 'What's the big matter?"
- Talking about courage in Kindergarten zoom and she asked me very seriously, "Does Cinderella have courage?"
- I asked her what she was doing and she said with a big smile, "just looking beautiful."
- "I think I am a carnivore because I eat my skin."
- Thinking about examples of being kind on Kindergarten zoom and she said, "I can be kind by helping someone in the classroom but oh yea can't forget about social distancing!
- "I don't want to sit on this wooden chair." I said it is the only thing to sit on. She said, "Some chair!"
- "Kinda want my own personal time"
- "My favorite color is red like blood in Jurassic World!"
- "Hey bro!" or "Bruh!"
- Told Mike on speaker phone we are going on a walk by the dam...then I hear Rayna in the background yell "dam, dam dam!"
- "On accident Rylee putted her big toe in my eye" (at bedtime when sleeping together)
- "Mommy, I bet doggy heaven is just like the dog park."
Rylee:
- "Thank you so much for our new fish! Best day ever!! Daddy finally has a little buddy! Two boys in the family" :) - Rainbow the Beta
- While playing with her stuffed animals...lining them up for school and she yells at Rayna, "remember to socially distance! Six feet apart!"
- Went to Taco Bell (her fav) after horse riding lessons to find out they don't make her favorite nachos anymore on the menu. She was in tears! She said, "I guess they ran out of chips!?" Then started tearing up and told me, "all my favorite places are closing...Taco Bell's nachos and Justice!" It's tough being eight.
- "It's so froggy outside!" (foggy)
- "Where do honeybuns come from?" (had her first one at the deer lease and loved them!)
- I asked where is Daddy and without skipping a beat she replied, "probably living his best life?"
- "Do you know Harry Poppins? My speech teacher told me about her and how she stutters too!" (Mary Poppins lol)
- At bedtime when I was laying with her Rylee told me through tears, "I would give up all the horses in the world to have Mali back. I only got 8 years with her." :(
