- Rylee's love for all things animals. When she grows up she wants to be a barrel racer in the rodeo and a veterinarian.
- Still ask for a pet horse daily.
- She has the biggest heart and is very sensitive.
- Asks every single night at bedtime for Daddy to tell her all the planets on her nightlight asks me every single night at bedtime to lay with her just a little bit ;)
- LOVES school and is very smart.
- Likes to write in cursive (not cursive but just loopy letters - I don't have the heart to tell her it's not cursive)
- Makes friends easily. Her 'besties' right now are Nethra from class and Andrea from the playground. They play together everyday after school, have playdates at parties and their houses, and always hold hands <3
- Has the most contagious laugh and still our Smiley Rylee :)
- "What are these blue things all over me, mommy?" I told her how they are your veins and they carry blood throughout your body. She said, "Oh! Kind of like they are going on a field trip in my body!" *thanks Magic School Bus :)
- Reading the end of a book that was a letter and it said, XOXO. She read it "tic tac toe"
- "What I am about to say is kind of baddish goodish"

Started Spring Break off with a fun trip to the rodeo! Rylee's favorite time of the year :)

First family camping trip! We stayed in a 'shelter' which was a screened in little box with hard bunk beds, outlets, and a fan/light. It was quite the experience but fun! We fished, rode scooters, played at the playground, made a campfire, cooked dinner & smores! The girls loved it except for a few encounters with bugs and the early morning wake up call from the birds chirping. Rylee woke up and said, "Those birds are so annoying!" lol
LOVE this sweet girl and that toothless smile :)
Rylee was sooo excited to bring her Pete the Cat Goes Camping book. She did a great job reading us her bedtime story!
Ended the week with a fun playdate with cousins!

Rylee's invention project for school - Go Clean Up Go!
She combined a box of kleenex, trash can (made out of an empty kleenex box), and hand sanitizer (inside an empty kleenex box) to help not spread germs and to solve the problem of going to three different places in a room to find them all. We had fun making it together and she came up with the name. Proud of my smart creative girl!

What a difference a year makes! A huge improvement in her length of writing, handwriting, punctuation, and drawings. So proud of how far Rylee has come this year in first grade!
