Rylee lately...

Can't believe my baby girl is 2.5 years old!! Time sure does fly by with a little one. I am loving this age but at the same time trying to savor every moment we have together before Baby Sister arrives in May. Rylee has been a busy girl lately but that is no surprise since she is always on the go and stays busy 24/7!!
  • She enjoys going to The Little Gym each week (just moved up to the Super Beast class), coloring everyday (her favorite)
  • Working on puzzles, has learned lots of her colors & likes to categorize the alphabet magnets on the refrigerator by colors all the time, working on counting (has learned 1-3 but know counts 1,2,8,9 LOL...no idea why and every time I correct her she gets so mad), knows the difference between a boy and a girl (can point to each gender in a book and tell me which it is), and knows circle and draws circles!
  • Obsessed with playing on Daddy's 'bone' aka phone
  • Still LOVES to read her books (her favorite right now is Goodnight Moon...I swear we read it 20 times a day).
  • LOVES animals especially hee-haws (horses) and kitty cats or meows she calls them ;)
  • She is getting sooo good at talking in short sentences and saying more words daily (at this age she is just a little sponge soaking up so much and I love it)! Some of my favs/most recent: colors (black, white-which she says is broke since she can't see it lol, pink, red, blue, green, orange, purple), Hi Mommy/Daddy/Mali, I tipit (I tooted lol), bast (fast), ok guys, thanks/thank you, no thanks/no thank you (reinforcing the manners daily!), peeeeease (please), help, this you (this is yours or this is for you), bubbles, Oh tootles, nack aka snack, I poo I poo, No I just tee tee, Momo aka Nemo, hee haw (horse), Buzz, Woody, ottttay (ok), ahum (uh huh), I'm going to check on Mommy (longest complete sentence yet!), etc
  • Making us laugh ALL the time with her sassy expressions & her contagious laugh
  • Continuing to be fearless ALL the time
  • Dances to any music she hears (still requests Bang Bang and Let it Go daily lol) and immediately says Mommy dance!
  • Her favorite foods right now are pizza ( no pepperonis), grilled cheese (no crust), carrots, broccoli, applesauce, chicken nuggets, ketchup on everything, pasta, yogurt, strawberries, french fries, and any sweets.
  • Also I can't forget to mention she has also been giving us a run for our money at times with her terrible twos and attitude! She loves to tell us no and then smile real big which makes it hard for us not to laugh. She also has been using time out more frequently lately due to her attitude and hitting...
  • She still shows NO interest in potty training. I would LOVE for her to be potty trained before the baby comes but I know she will in her own time. However, she has started sitting (with clothes on) on the potty when Mommy does. Also, during bath she occasionally stands up and says, 'I tee tee or Rylee tee tee!' while spreading her legs open and actually tee teeing in the tub (even though it is the wrong place I'm super proud that she is catching on a little bit). She has also started 'washing' herself and pretends to 'wipe' herself like she sees Mommy does. She likes to copy ;)
  • Lately Rylee has become quite attached to me which she always likes to be with Mommy but it is a little extreme these days. When I drop her off at the Y she cries/reaches for me (never use to cry and loved going to play), likes to hold my hand/sit with me at TLG (always use to be so independent at the gym), and always 'Mommy' or holding my hand (LOVE). I have a feeling she is beginning to 'understand' that something is changing. Not sure if she gets the fact that baby sister is on the way but with all the little changes happening (belly growing, baby crib back in the nursery, sleeping in a big girl bed, etc) I think she knows something is up. Just going to cherish our last few months together and PRAY the transition of her going from only child to big sister goes great!!

Celebrating Daddy's Birthday!
My big girl transitioned into sleeping in her big girl bed!! It was pretty easy besides taking her a little while to goto sleep. She loves her big girl room and has been doing great! It is a little bittersweet that she is already in this bed but we are busy getting ready for a new little baby girl to arrive soon.

Fun at the park with sweet friends!!
Rylee is OBSESSED with horses so I just knew she would LOVE going on her first pony ride at her friend's birthday party. A couple days before the party I told her that she would have a turn to ride the horse and ever since then she has been saying, "Ry Ry's turn hee-haw"...cutest thing ever!! She has a pretty good memory too because it was the first thing she said after naptime and at bedtime lol! Needless to say, she was in Heaven and had the time of her life seeing, petting, and riding the animals!!
She's a natural!!
Ready for gymnastics!! :)

How far along? 26 weeks
Size of the babyOur baby is the size of a head of lettuce. About 13.6-14.8 in long and about 1.5-2.5 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes, and loving wearing the comfy clothes!
Stretch marks? None
SleepStill waking up several times at night to goto the bathroom.
Best moment this week: Found out I passed my glucose test!!! Also, Mike helped redo a couple things I have been wanting to change in the nursery this past week (toy chest now has an R on it for both girls & Rayna's name is painted/hung)! And last but certainly NOT least Rylee felt the baby move for the first time!! It was the sweetest and funniest thing...she was laying on my belly one morning while watching Mickey and the baby (like always) was moving around and Rylee popped up and said, "Mommy tooted" LOL! I told her no I didn't....that was the baby moving around in my tummy. So she laid her head back down and every time she felt Rayna move she would pop up and say "baby mute (aka moving)" with a huge smile! It was the cutest thing ever besides her thinking I tooted lol ;)
Miss Anything? Sleeping on my back/stomach and being able to workout liek I use to. I get so tired so quickly and have to make many bathroom breaks during a one-hour class!
