At 11 weeks 2 days I had my first trimester screening at the hospital. All went well and the baby is actually measuring bigger by three days! We got to see our sweet baby and he/she has grown soooo much since seeing him/her at 8 weeks! We were able to watch him/her move around a LOT and got an in depth ultrasound looking at every part of him/her. Here are some pictures from our apt:
Our perfect little baby <3 Heartbeat was 167bpm
Tiny legs stretched out :) Baby kind of resembling a boy here but the nurse said it can be deceiving at this point so we will wait and find out in December!!

Rylee lately...

Love this sweet little face so much! Each month she brings more joy and laughter into our lives and we are so blessed to call her ours! This is such a fun age, with so many changes each week, I feel like I am constantly taking in moments with her because I never want to forget how special they are. Currently, I am obsessed with her growing vocabulary, her little voice, and her giant personality. I wish I could just bottle her up and keep her like this forever.
Favorite Food:
chicken, raw carrots, cucumbers, muffins, donuts, smoothies, chicken nuggets, rice, beans, any and all fruit, sweets (She is going through a major picky stage right now...it's a struggle to get her to eat anything lately)
Favorite Words/Phrases: (currently)
It broke or I broke it, he haw (her little pony), started calling herself Ry Ry (the same thing her cousins call her), thank you, please, coo coo (Aunt Kristin taught her to say this about Kate), bird, Minnie, Mickey, Gooey (Goofy), Mommy, Daddy, Mali, KiKi, Kynlee, Kate, Pops, CoCo (Kristin), NayNay (Nathan), bubbles, outside, bye bye, no no, bug, go away, stop it, wow or woah (when looking at her artwork hanging in her new big girl room), let it go, tee tee, poo poo, seepy (sleepy), woah, mo mo (bo bo), bang bang (loves dancing to the song by Jessie J lol).
*Every time she says hi or bye she always says si Mommy, si Mali, si Daddy, etc. So funny!
Favorites:
playing with Mali (she LOVES her dog), playing in her big girl room, going to the YMCA and The Little Gym, seeing/playing with her cousins, helping Mommy clean up, reading books, puzzles, coloring, going bye bye, Frozen, dancing/singing to music, stealing our phones to talk to Pops,
Not Favorites: time out, being told no, and not getting her way, going to the park, playing with her cousins, playing with her dress up jewelry and high heels, folding your arms with an attitude and you love for Mommy to copy you,
Firsts/Milestones/Moments to Remember:
-Found out she was going to be a Big Sister!! She points to Mommy's belly and/or any other part of my body and says baby :)
-Went to Chuck E Cheese for the first time
-Celebrated Labor Day
-Rode her first choo choo train at the mall and loved it
-Went to the Children's Museum for the first time
-Tried the three day potty training about a month ago and it was a major FAIL! I think Mommy & Daddy were more ready than Rylee because after five consecutive days of 'tell Mommy when you need to tee tee' and crotch watching she made NO progress. We just came to the conclusion she was not ready. She was scared to sit on the potty when she had to go, didn't mind going on the floor, and still wakes up with a wet diaper. We will try again in a few months and PRAY she is potty trained before baby #2 arrives in May! However, lately she comes in the bathrrom with Mommy and watched me potty so she sits on her potty too and points to hers and says Ry Ry and points to mine and says Mommy. When I flush she says bye bye tee tee. Making progress....I hope! In time when she is ready I know she will get it.

Daddy's little fishing buddy ;)

8 weeks {Baby #2}

Today, we had our first (much anticipated) pregnancy appointment. I found out I was pregnant on my first missed period a little over four weeks ago so it has been a LONG wait to see our little baby and hear his/her sweet heartbeat. Unfortunately, Dr. Luethcke who delivered Rylee is not delivering babies anymore after this year so I went to a refereed doctor she recommended. Dr. Sutaria, is who we met with today and we were pleasantly surprised at how much we liked her (thank goodness)! We had a wonderful appointment that consisted of a urine test, blood work, an exam, and ultrasound. I was overwhelmed with emotions once I finally saw our sweet little baby on the screen and heard it's precious heartbeat. Best Sound Ever! Relieved that our first appointment went so well and so excited about this pregnancy! Baby Sosbe round 2 in the making :)
Here is our baby on the ultrasound and it's heartbeat<3

Stretch marks? None
Sleep: I have been sleeping fine during this first trimester, but I am already waking up 3-4 times a night to go to the bathroom! I also have been sooo EXHAUSTED during the day and literally have taken a nap everyday. I do NOT remember being this tired during the first trimester with Rylee.
Best moment this week: Going to our very first pregnancy appointment to see our baby and hear his/her heartbeat :)
Worst moment of the week:
Miss Anything? Drinking Dr. Pepper more often and having more energy
Movement: No
Food cravings: Mexican food and sweets
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing specifically but this pregnancy I have had a lot of stomach cramping, loss of appetite (but I easily get that back later on), and stomach hurting but not sickness. *Never had these feelings with Rylee.

Looking forward to: Finishing my first trimester and letting the secret out in four more weeks!!

Baby Sosbe: Round TWO!!

August 22, 2014

This summer Mike and I decided I was going to get off my birth control in June and we were going to begin trying for another baby. We both felt like the timing was perfect with Mike's new job, Rylee's age, and my baby fever ;) After trying for a couple months and no luck I wanted to try an ovulation kit like we used when we got pregnant with Rylee. So, in August I just had a good feeling that this month was the month! Unlike the previous two months I had no spotting leading up to my expected period and occasional sharp pains in my lower abdominal area. Mike was out of town for work all week so Friday morning (my expected period day) I woke up early and took a pregnancy test and after waiting three long minutes I could not believe my eyes...it said PREGNANT!! I immediately started crying tears of joy and thanked God for this little miracle! I then had to wait ALL morning until Mike got home from the airport around 11am and after we greeted him I gave Rylee a little gift bag and told her to give Daddy his special gift. He opened it to find the positive pregnancy test and started smiling ear to ear. We hugged, I cried (again), and Rylee could of cared less (she was preoccupied with her new toy Daddy brought her).

Unfortunately, the amazing doctor who delivered Rylee will not be delivering babies anymore so I will be going to a refereed doctor (Dr. Sutaria) at 8 weeks (September 22nd). I am so anxious to see a picture of our little baby, hear his/her heartbeat, and make sure everything looks good! Cannot wait to find out what we are having!!
How we shared the news with family:
Mom- I talk to my mom everyday (sometimes more than once a day) so it was very hard to keep this wonderful secret from her. On Monday (Aug. 25) she called to talk on her way home and asked me to send her an email to let her know the upcoming dates Mike would be leaving for work. So, I proceeded to tell her some of them and then added you might need to come up here the beginning of May in nine months! There was a long pause from both of us then she asked are you pregnant and I said yes (crying again)! She was soooo excited for Mike and I. She has already started shopping LOL!
Dad- I had to call my dad after my mom since they weren't together and asked him what his plans were in May. Of course he had a sarcastic remark and said probably pushing up daisies... Then he said I don't know...maybe a grandkid's graduation. I said well you will be having another grandkid in May to come see! He was sooo excited and happy for Mike and I.
Sherie- Called and Mike told her for her 51st birthday we are giving her another grandbaby. She was very excited!!
Tina & Mike- Called and told them that they need to move down here (like they had mentioned transferring locations for work) by May. Mike's dad got it right away and Tina did after we hinted around...both were very excited!!
Westin- Called and told him since he is my twin he should know everything going on in my life so clear  your calendar for the beginning of May. Right away he said you're pregnant?! He was so very excited and extremely happy for us. He even told me that he teared up a little...he has the biggest heart :)
Tamera & Debbie- Called Tamera and told her since she and Debbie do so good with Kynlee, Kate, and Rylee that we are adding another one to the mix! She was completely shocked and just kept saying, 'Oh my God!' Needless to say, she was very happy but shocked!
Kristin- Was the last to know since I wanted to tell her in person. She came over after Kate's apt in the morning and I had Rylee in a Big Sister shirt. She went to go say hi to her in her room and as soon as she saw her she noticed the shirt and looked back at me smiling and with a look of complete shock saying "Are you serious?" She was sooo happy for us and we definitely caught her off gaurd!!
How we shared the news with everyone else:
SURPRISE!! Rylee is excited to finally share our big secret!! Baby Sosbe is due May 2, 2015 :)

I am so excited to see Rylee as a Big Sister! I know she is going to be an amazing, protective, sweet, and proud Big Sister! Cannot wait to watch their special bond form and grow.
