Rylee {17 months}

Happy 17 months to my sweet Rylee Lynn! This little girl brings so much joy and laughter in our life. She seriously is the funniest, sweetest, and happiest baby...I mean toddler (hard to believe she isn't a baby anymore)! She has quite the personality and it shows everyday :)

Growth & Development:

• weight- lbs
• Favorite foods: cheerios, beans, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, rice, eggs, all meat, strawberries, bananas, grapes, noodles, pizza, sweets
• Drinks about 21oz of milk a day (three sippy cups of milk a day)
• Words: no no, momma, uh oh, go, ewww, da da/daddy, woah, baba (baby), wee-wee (when she spends in circles), step slide (sounds like she is saying it), me. LOVE hearing her talk even if it is in her own little language. She has started puckering her lips and talks so seriously repeating herself until we pay attention or talk to her LOL. 
• Teeth: Has a total of 12 teeth. The week she was super sick she also had four new teeth come in all at once...poor girl!
• Sleeping: Naps about 1.5-2hrs (once a day) and sleeps from 11 hours each night!

Favorites:

Rylee loves giving high fives, practicing her rolls, jumping, playing with her baby dolls, pretending to cough with her hand covering her mouth, climbing, riding on Daddy's shoulders, watching Mickey, reading her favorite book and trying to make the faces (Baby Faces), playing with her new Christmas toys, starring at the Christmas tree (so fascinated), getting into everything she is not supposed to, being a social butterfly, going to TLG every week, stealing phones and remotes, practicing her 'step slides', making Mommy smell her stinky feet (thinks it is so funny), dancing, playing chase, digging into Mommy's underwear drawer and Daddy's sock drawer everyday!

Firsts/Milestones:

• Went on her first airplane ride to visit Granny in Tennessee for Thanksgiving. She did GREAT! Slept the entire flight :)
• Celebrated Thanksgiving but didn't enjoy eating it!
• Saw snow for the first time! Wasn't quite sure what to think about it at first but loved it after Daddy pulled her around on the sled!
• Drove up her first mountain (Viking Mt) to see a beautiful view and sled some more!!
• Got her first double ear infection this month...no fun! 
• Mastered the 'duck face' all on her own and likes to do it ALL the time :)
• Knows where her eyes are and will point to other people's eyes!
• Saw Santa Clause! I was afraid she would cry but she did great! No tears but no smiles either. She did high five Santa afterwards though ;)
• Got a visit from MeeMe, Poppy, and Hailey
• Celebrated Christmas at Granna & Pop's house the weekend before Christmas. Got lots of fun toys, spent time with family, and took professional family pictures!
• Celebrated her second Christmas Eve with Mommy & Daddy! We went to Christmas Eve service at church, opened pjs, read the Christmas Story together, and watched Mickey's Christmas movie.

Rylee {16 months}

Happy 16 months to my sweet Rylee Lynn!! Each month seriously gets so much better but with that being said time needs to slow down!! We are super blessed to have such a funny, sweet, and happy little girl! She lights up our life and I cannot imagine this world without her in it. Since it's November (the month of giving thanks) I am beyond thankful for this little girl in my life. 

Growth & Development:

• weight- 23 lbs
• Favorite foods: meat, fruit (obsessed with strawberries and grapes), applesauce, string cheese, yogurt, smoothies, noodles, crackers, 
• Drinks about 21oz of milk a day (sucks it down quick)! Started her on Soy milk this month since she was having some tummy issues.
• Words: no no, momma, uh oh, ewww, da da/daddy, woah, baba (baby), wee-wee (when she spends in circles), and we are working on more & Mali.
• Teeth: Total of 10 now. She got two new ones this month which caused a LOT of diarrhea, crying, and chewing on just about everything (especially her hands). 
• Sleeping: Naps about 1.5-2hrs (once a day) and sleeps from 11 hours each night!

Favorites:

Rylee loves running anywhere and everywhere, climbing on the couch and has now figured out how to climb on the coffee and end tables (Lord help me), playing in her car, playing at TLG with her friends and Ms. Pat, watching Mickey Mouse (at home and in the car), playing/sitting on/torturing Mali, giving high-fives, stacking her blocks, reading her books, playing with the drain in the bathtub, practicing her forward rolls and step-slides (from the TLG), playing hide-and-seek and chase, playing fetch with Mali, tickles, greeting Daddy at the door when he gets home from work, putting everything in her mouth (favorite is her paci), spinning round and round, going through Mommy's drawers and pulling out all my panties and putting them on her head (weirdo), and loves going 'bye-bye'.

Not Favorites:
She hates being left in the church nursery and screams/cries the entire time, having her diaper changed, when we tell her no-no, getting dressed, getting her hair fixed, 

Firsts/Milestones:

• Knows where her toes, head, and tummy are!!
• Started wearing pigtails! LOVE it :)
• Dressed up as Minnie Mouse for TLG Halloween Carnival!
• Dressed up as Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz for Halloween and went trunk or treating at the church...cutest Dorothy ever!! Was not into the whole trick or treating this year but loved being outside with everyone and run around. 
• Went to Disney on Ice to see her favorites Mickey & Minnie Mouse with her cousins, Aunt Kristin, Granna, and Mommy!! So fun :)
• Got her first bad virus this month :( Lots of vomit, diarreah, and cuddling with Mommy. 
• Tried coloring for the first time...lets just say we will try again next month. All she wanted to do was eat them!

Rylee {15 months}

Happy 15 months to my sweet Rylee Lynn!!

Growth & Development:

• weight- 23 lbs 12 oz
• height- 29.75 in
• Went to her 15 month check up and poor baby had to get four shots and a finger prick!
• Favorite foods: sting cheese, fruit, cucumbers, yogurt, mum mums, potatoes, any kind of meat, and loves sweets (such a great little eater)
• Drinks about 21oz of milk a day (sucks it down quick)!
• Words: no no, momma, uh oh, ewww, da da/daddy, woah, and her newest baba (baby) and go (she likes to yell it at Mali when we go outside because she hears me tell Mali to go to the bathroom lol).
• Cut another tooth so now she has a total of 8 teeth! Four on the top and four on the bottom. She is still grinding her teeth and became a little beaver baby and gnawed on her wooden crib :(
• Sleeping: Naps once a day for about 1-1.5 hrs and sleeping from about 8pm-6:30/7am. She has gotten SOOO much better at taking naps/going to bed this month. We now just lay her in her bed  without rubbing her back or waiting till she falls asleep and she does perfectly fine! She tosses/turns a lot but always falls asleep on her own!

Favorites:

Rylee loves getting into everything, being sneaky, playing in her new playhouse Mommy found at a garage sale, being outside, running/playing/climbing anywhere and on anything, playing with baby dolls, getting every single book out in her room to 'read', giving high-fives, clapping for herself, practicing her forward rolls, obsessed with shutting any and all doors, likes to throw things away in the trashcan (binky, pacifiers, etc.), swinging, talking to any and everyone (social butterfly), playing with her cousins, snuggling with Mommy & Daddy, watching/dancing to Mickey Mouse, and feeding herself.

Firsts/Milestones:

• Knows where her head and tummy are when you ask her! Smart girl :)
• Started to 'jump' when you tell her (learned from TLG)
• Is such a good helper when cleaning up toys at TLG and at home!
• We had our first cool front come in and Rylee loves it! Finally feels like Fall around here :)
• Took Rylee to the pumpkin patch to take pictures and pick out her very own pumpkin! This was her second time to go but last year she was only about 3 months old so technically it was like her first time ;)

Rylee {14 months)

Happy 14 months to my sweet Rylee Lynn!!
This is such a fun stage right now. It seems as if everyday she is learning new things and her personality is getting bigger and brighter. I love my sweet, funny, smart girl so much! She is the light of my life and is just a ball of joy to be around!

Growth & Development:

• weight- 24 lbs
• Favorite foods: yogurt, eggs, strawberries, grapes, chicken, smoothie drinks, avacado, cucumber, peas, carrots, and any snacks she can get her little hands on.
• Drinks about 21oz of milk a day (sucks it down quick)!
• Words: no no, momma, uh oh, ewww, da da, woah, and a lot of Rylee talk ;)
• Still addicted to her pacifer...we try to only give it to her at nap/bedtime but she can find them anywhere (I think she hides them). Not looking forward to breaking her from them later on..
• Cut another tooth so now she has a total of 8 teeth! Four on the top and four on the bottom. She has also started the terrible habit of grinding..
• Sleeping: Naps once a day for about 1-1.5 hrs and sleeping from about 7:30/8pm-6:30/7am

Favorites:

Rylee loves being super active, running, climbing anything she can, playing outside (all day if she could), playing with Mali (has finally learned how to 'pet' her sweetly, carrying her binkys around, loving on her dolls, getting all her books out to 'read', dancing to DisneyJunior music, stacking toys, bathtime, talking/staring at others (especially kids), getting all the pillows/blankets she can find and play/throw/lay on them, playing in her crib, playing chase, and getting into everything she knows she should NOT be in!

Firsts/Milestones:

• She can now be laid down for a nap/bedtime awake and will fall asleep on her own when we leave the room! Occasionally, for naps we will have to rub her back for a few minutes and then she will fall fast asleep. Major Milestone!!
• Started attending The Little Gym once a week and LOVES it!!
• Began going to the church nursery on Sundays...she did ok (cried some when other kids started crying). Hoping she does better as the weeks go on!
• Turned her car seat around and she is sooo much happier!! Such a BIG girl now :)
• Has started holding my hand<3
• Learned how to climb the slide outside and on the couch by herself :/
• Can dance, smile, give sugars, and shake toys (most of the time) on command!!
• Understands ALOT more these days...if I say go find Daddy or Mali or outside or brush your teeth she knows what/who to look for and where to go!
• No more bottles...YAY!! Rylee now drinks her milk from a sippy cup!
• Met her Great Grandpa Sosbe for the first time
• Gave Mommy her first heart attack when I went to go get her from her nap and found her on the floor NOT in her crib! Thank God she was ok and just had a red mark on her forehead. Her bed is officially lowered as low as it can go...

Rylee {13 months}

Happy 13 months!!!

I didn't think I would continue doing this update for each month after Rylee turned one but I don't want to forget anything so what the heck...

Growth & Development:

• weight- 22 lbs
• Now only eats three bottles a day (morning, nap time, and before bed)
• LOVES eating! She enjoys grapes, avacodos, beans, rice, noodles, patatoes, and all types of sweets.
• TALKS all the time! Words: no no, momma, uh oh, bay (baby), ewww, and dada.
• Running all over the place! She is and has been extremely mobile but has a hard time slowing down when turning corners (which has caused many bumps/bruises). 
• Has gotten very good at stacking her bath toys and carrying toy(s) as she walks/runs
• Still has just the 7 teeth but her top four a way more visible when she smiles :)

Favorites:

Rylee loves being outside! Anytime you say outside she gets the biggest smile and runs to the door. She also loves playing/torturing Mali, playing in water, playing catch (runs so fast and laughs when we say 'I'm going to get you'), 'reading' books (obsessed with her new finger puppet books), playing with dolls, carrying around many toys at the same time, listening/dancing to Disney Junior music on TV (she stops what she is doing anywhere in the house and runs to the TV when it comes on), 'driving' with Daddy, playing/driving her new car from Granna, shopping with Mommy and talking to everyone along the way.

Firsts/Milestones:

• Celebrated her first birthday by having a party at our house with friends and family
• Had her 12 month check up and did great! She is a healthy baby girl :)
• Started drinking apple juice in the mornings at breakfast because I had to start giving her iron drops in it to help with her anemia. She LOVES it!
• Went to her cousins 2nd birthday party
• In the hitting/throwing stage and she thinks it is just too funny!

Happy 12 months!!!

It is so hard to believe that one year ago today you came into this world and made us a family. It is so true that every good and perfect gift comes from above. You are such a wonderful blessing and I am so thankful for you. I honestly never knew that I could love someone so much until the moment I laid eyes on you and held you for the first time. You have brought so much joy into my life and have forever changed me for the best. You made me a Mommy! You have the sweetest personality and are such a little ham!! I love watching you smile, laugh, play, and learn new things everyday. It is amazing to see the world through your eyes. It has been the biggest blessing to watch you grow and develop into a beautiful little girl this past year. Even though you are now one year old you will always be my baby girl! I love you more than words can express. You are the most precious thing in my life and I will continue to cherish everyday and moment that I have with you. Happy 1st Birthday my sweet girl!! I love you all the way to the moon and back<3

Growth & Development:

• weight- 22 lbs
• height- 29 in.
• Blood work came back and has slight anemia. Will start taking a daily vitamin drop each day.
• wearing size 12 months and some 12-18 month
• Walking everywhere and FAST! Loves exploring :)

Favorites:
Rylee loves being outside, playing in the water, Mickey Mouse, playing with Mali, watching other kids, giving the sweetest hugs/open mouth kisses, playing with her little people toys, playing with her blocks, walking and exploring, carrying multiple little toys around with her (taking after Kate), rough housing with Daddy, dancing to music (especially hotdog song from Mickey).

Firsts/Milestones:

• Had her first pony tail done by Aunt Kristin
• Learned to climb Granna & Pop's brick steps
• Had her first birthday photos taken in Lumberton
• Celebrated her first fourth of July at the lake and on the boat
• Attended her first wedding (Tara & Eric)
• Got a visit from Poppy, MeMee, and Hailey 
• Started saying ohhhhh at everything that excites her or new things that she sees..so funny!! Also started saying uh oh!
• Started throwing temper tantrums
• Started transitioning to whole milk (no problems)
• Got another tooth (total of 7 teeth now)
• Celebrated her first birthday 

Rylee {11 months}

Happy 11 months to our sweet Rylee Lynn! It is hard to believe that you are almost one year old. Time sure is flying by and it is bittersweet. This month you have learned lots of new things! You are such a sweet, happy, and smart baby girl! I am the luckiest person in the world to get to be your Mommy. I love you all the way to the moon and back <3

Growth/Development:

• Weight- 22 lbs
• Wearing some 9, 6-12, and 12 month clothes
• Rylee is still on the same sleep/eating schedule
• Always on the move!! Such a busy body :)

Favorites:

• She LOVES going on morning walks with Mommy & Mali, shaking her head, standing up (always looks so proud of herself), Mickey Mouse, books, throwing balls (very strong), playing with her cousins, playing in the water, playing with your blocks, watching Mommy blow dry my hair, trying to walk, and when I sing itsy bitsy spider/ wheels on the bus/ you are my sunshine/ patty cake.

Firsts/Milestones:

• Rylee can now stand on her own with no help! This month she has been loving to practice standing anywhere she can (even in the bathtub) and she gets the biggest smile on her face!
• Had her first taste of ice cream, frozen yogurt, and custard this month..she LOVED it all!! Baby girl has a sweet tooth like her Daddy ;)
• Celebrated Memorial Day in style and of course poolside 
• Went to the Downtown Aquarium and rode on her first carousal 
• Got to visit with Granny, Tom, Ashlynn, Hailey, Poppy, Aunt Jennifer, and Uncle Justin when they came to visit!
• Talking a lot more (says ma ma, da da, no, bye bye)
• Started walking while holding on to her toy walker and took her first first 4 little steps by herself!!! Won't be long until she is walking :)
• Has also started waving hi or bye to everyone she sees...so cute! :)
• Celebrated Daddy's first Father's Day by going to the beach with the entire family for the weekend...played in the sand and beach water for the first time!
• Got her first few curls this month...finally something she takes after her Mommy!!!
• Plays peek-a-boo
• Claps hands but doesn't touch them together just yet
• Had four more teeth come in on the top (just cut them at the end of this month)...total of 6 teeth now!! Also, busted her top lip twice because of her teeth :(

Rylee {10 months}

Happy 10 months to our sweet Rylee Lynn! It is hard to believe you are officially in the double digits now. Your first birthday will be here before we know it! You are the light of my life and I cherish every day/moment that I get to spend with you. I love watching you grow and learn new things. You are the happiest baby in the world and you love to give everyone big smiles when we are out and about. You really are a true gift from God and I love you more than you will ever know!

Growth/Development:

• Weight- 20.5 lbs
• Wearing some 9, 6-12, and 12 month clothes
• Size 3 diapers and just started wearing nighttime size 3 pampers for bedtime since she gets so wet at night.
• Rylee is on a new schedule:
• She wakes up around 7am and watches a little Mickey Mouse then eats a 7 oz bottle
• Two hours later she eats her breakfast (oatmeal and baby food fruit)
• Eats another 7 oz bottle around noon then goes down for her one nap of the day (about 1.5-2 hrs
• When she wakes up she eats a snack (mum-mums, yogurt, goldfish, puffs, cookies, or crackers)
• Two hours later she eats another 7 oz bottle
• Eats dinner with us (baby food veggies and table food)
• Eats her last 7 oz bottle before bedtime then sleeps for 11-12 hrs
• Getting stronger at standing...about 10 seconds is her record!

Favorites:

• She LOVES hearing herself talk, watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, stealing our remote, 'playing' with Mali, getting into things she knows she is not supposed to (burp cloths, chargers, dog food, and dog toys), 'reading' her books, playing with her dolls, shopping with Mommy in the cart, exploring EVERYTHING, and being outside (in her car or pool).

Firsts/Milestones:

• Started saying 'bye-bye' (still working on the hand motion), said 'ma' a couple times, and loves to say 'na' for no (says it just like I do LOL)!
• Started giving high-fives to Mommy
• Eating more table foods (loves rice, beans, noodles, cucumbers, etc)
• Celebrated Mommy's first Mother's Day<3
• Played and in her first swimming pool with Mommy & Daddy...LOVED it!  

Rylee {9 months}

Happy 9 months to our sweet Rylee Lynn! You never cease to amaze me with your curiosity and excitement about everything. You light up every room with your contagious and beautiful smile. We are so blessed to call you ours. I love you more than words can say...forever and always<3

Growth/Development:

• Weight- 19.5 lbs
• Height- 27.25 in
• Wearing some 6-9 but mostly 9 and 6-12 month clothes
• Size 3 diapers 
• Rylee is still eating 5 bottles a day, oatmeal/fruit in the morning, and veggies at dinner time. Loves all food!! Tried cheerios, refried beans, strawberries, mum-mums, and mashed potatoes for the first time this month.
• Majorly MOBILE-crawling everywhere very fast and climbing up everything!
• Takes a nap in the morning (about 30-45 min) and a longer nap in the afternoon (1-2 hrs).
• Plays more independently now

Favorites:

• She LOVES trying to clap (just waves her hands around), climbing up on ALL furniture, bath time, books, crawling FAST everywhere, watching Disney Junior in the mornings (Mickey Mouse is her favorite), playing with Mali, swinging, being tickled on your tummy/arms, and playing with her new big girl toys.

Firsts/Milestones:

• Got your first two teeth on the bottom! So cute :)
• Met the Easter Bunny for the first time and all smiles this year!
• Celebrated Easter by going to church, hunting Easter eggs, and spending the day with family!
• Stayed with Daddy & MeeMe while Mommy went on a trip to PA for five whole days. 
• Got your first cold then you gave it to Mommy :(
• Got your toes painted by Mommy for the first time...cutest thing ever!!
  

Rylee {8 months}

Happy 8 months to our sweet Rylee Lynn! I can't believe I have an 8 month old! I say this a lot but I really love the age she is at right now. She is such a joy and makes us laugh all the time. She is a constant reminder of how truly blessed we are. Love her with all my heart<3

Growth/Development:

• Weight- 18 lbs
• Wearing 6-9, 9, and 6-12 month clothes
• Size 3 diapers 
• Rylee is eating 5 bottles a day (no more nursing), oatmeal/fruit in the morning, and veggies at dinner time. Loves all food!!
• Moving everywhere (no crawling yet but she is scooting and rolling all over the floor)!
• She is so smart!! She has started copying me when I make a fishy face or sniff out loud...it is the cutest thing!!
• Takes a nap in the morning (45min-1 hr) and a longer nap in the afternoon (1.5-2 hrs).

Favorites:

• She LOVES watching Disney Junior in the mornings, 'driving' the car with Daddy, being outside in the beautiful spring weather, going on walks, drinking from her sippy cup, shopping in the cart with Mommy, hearing herself (talks and screams in her high pitch voice all the time LOL), watching other people/kids (major people watcher), exploring new things (our closet, outside, and things that are not toys LOL), and making her fishy face!

Firsts/Milestones:

• Crawling!!
• Beginning to pull up on anything she can get her hands on
• Celebrated her first St. Patricks Day wearing a cute green outfit of course :)
• Now sitting up in the bathtub instead of lying back but likes to try and climb out
• Beginning to hold her bottle on her own at times
• Can go from laying on her tummy to sitting up on her own!
• Went to the park and saw the bluebonnets!

Rylee {7 months}

Happy 7 months to our sweet Rylee Lynn! We love you more than you know. You are such a little character and I love this stage you are in right now! I feel like the time is flying by and you will be 1 before we know it. Slow down sweet girl...

Growth/Development:

• Weight- 17 lbs
• Wearing 6 & some 6-9 month clothes
• Still in size 2 diapers (almost size 3)
• Rylee is eating 6-7 oz every 3 hrs during the day (eats 5 times). I am nursing her twice a day and the other three feedings are bottles. She is also eating oatmeal in the morning and vegetables for supper.
• Sits up straight and tall!
• Talks ALL the time!! Sounds like she is saying hi, hey, da dad.
• Loves to play, interact, and watch her big cousins
• Rolling all over the place and doing back bends to see upside down LOL!
• Rylee has started rocking back and forth on her tummy, scooting around on the floor, and has gotten on her knees a couple of times trying to move or reach her toys. I can tell she wants to move so bad and she probably will be crawling sooner than later!

Favorites:

• She LOVES when we sing to her (especially the itsy bitsy spider), to talk, to close things (lids on her toys), to be tickled, she likes to be thrown in the air & hang upside down by Daddy, playing on our bed, jumping in her exersacauer, eating solids in her high chair, siting up like a big girl in the cart while shopping, and playing with her cousins.

Firsts/Milestones:

• Celebrated her first Valentines with Mommy & Daddy
• Tried fruit for the first time and loved it!
• Met her extended family at our family reunion this month
• Went to the zoo for the first time to see all the animals (especially the elephants)
• Rode like a big girl in the shopping cart
• Got her first black eye from falling out of her high chair :(
• Ate vegetables for the first time and LOVED it (carrots, sweet potatoes, sweet peas, squash, & green beans)! She can power a whole little jar down in 5 minutes. She's a good little eater :)

Rylee (6 months}

Happy 6 months to our sweet Rylee Lynn! Cannot believe you are half way to being one year old. Time sure seems to fly by since you have come into our lives...wouldn't have it any other way. You are little Miss Personality these days making us smile and laugh ALL the time. I love this stage you are at but not as much as I Love You<3

Growth/Development:

• Weight- 16.6 lbs
• Height- 25.5 in
• Wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothes
• Size 2 diapers
• Rylee is still eating 6 oz every 3 hrs during the day (eats 5 times). She gets very distracted when Mike or Mali are nearby...loves being in the know of everything! She also just started eating rice cereal and oatmeal for the first time. She seems to like it but as soon as the spoon leaves her mouth she instantly puts her hands in her mouth making a HUGE mess :) 
• Plays with toys and puts everything in her mouth
• Loves to hear herself talk
• Rolling all over the place and getting stronger at sitting up.She is so squirmy when changing her diaper and clothes!
• Might be teething...she tries to eat everything (toys, hands, etc)

Favorites:

• She LOVES bath time, peeking to see us out of her crib when she wakes up from her naps, car rides, playing in her jumper, sitting up to play with all her new Christmas toys, TALKING all the time, being loved on, and playing with Mali (she loves her puppy)!

Firsts/Milestones:

• Sitting up on her own!!
• Celebrated her first Christmas with us and New Years Eve at her Aunt Tamera's house (slept though all the fireworks)
• Went to Kynlee's 3rd birthday party and dressed up as a fairy
• Went to see her cousin do gymnastics for the first time
