36 weeks

How far along? 36 weeks and 4 days

Size of the baby: Our baby is the size of a honeydew - over 18 inches long and weighing close to 6 pounds. 

Interesting Facts this week: At the end of this week Rylee will be considered full term. She is still in the head down position and after going to our appointment today my doctor told me she is measuring a little bigger (38cm instead of 36cm). Dr. L said this means she is predicting that Rylee will be a high 6-pounder/low 7-pounder at birth.

Stretch marks? None

Sleep: Still not able to sleep through the night. The last few days I have had a stomach virus which has made it even HARDER to sleep throughout the night.

Best moment this week: At my doctor appointment today we heard Rylee's sweet heartbeat again and Dr. L told us she looks/sounds great!

Miss Anything? Sleeping through the night!

Movement: Rylee is moving all the time now! I found out at my appointment that she is ALL belly right now stretching from the top of my belly to my pelvic bone (she has not dropped yet). This explains why I have been feeling so many kicks in my ribs and why I have been feeling very uncomfortable lately. 

Food cravings: Mexican food and Dr. Pepper

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not usually but because of my stomach virus I have been feeling queasy.

How are you feeling? Tired and anxious to meet our baby girl next month!

Looking forward to: My next doctor's appointment (37 week) to see if she has dropped any and also finishing up washing her things and packing my hospital bag :)

Size of the baby: Our baby is the size of a coconut - over 18 inches long and weighing about 5 pounds. 

Interesting Facts this week: Rylee's hearing is fully developed and she responds best to high-pitched noises!

Stretch marks? None

Sleep: Still not able to sleep through the night. It is getting a lot harder to get comfortable and making MANY trips to the bathroom.

Best moment this week: At my doctor appointment today we heard Rylee's sweet heartbeat and found out she is in the head down position! This explains why I keep feeling so many kicks in my ribs!

Miss Anything? Sleeping through the night without tossing and turning.

Movement: Rylee is moving all the time now and getting hiccups more often. LOVE it!!

Food cravings: Mexican food and Dr. Pepper

Size of the baby: Our baby is the size of a cantaloupe - about 18 inches long and weighing about 4 3/4 pounds. 

Interesting Facts this week: Rylee's recognizing simple songs that she hears and urinating about a pint a day!

Stretch marks? None

Sleep: Still not able to sleep through the night. It is getting a lot harder to get comfortable and making many trips to the bathroom.

Best moment this week: Finishing Rylee's room and beginning to get in the nesting mode!!

Miss Anything? Sleeping through the night and on my stomach. 

Movement: Rylee is moving all the time now to the point where we can actually see my stomach move!

Food cravings: Mexican food and Dr. Pepper

Houston Baby Shower

This past Saturday was my Houston baby shower for Rylee and it was absolutley perfect! Thank you so much to my wonderful hostesses for putting together a beautiful shower for Rylee! I had such a great time visiting with friends and family. I know I have said this a lot but Rylee is for sure one lucky little girl to have so many people already show her so much love.

Size of the baby: Our baby is the size of a pineapple - about 17 inches long and weighing a little over 4 pounds.

Interesting Facts this week: Rylee's skeleton is hardening, she's keeping her eyes open while awake, and she's going through major brain development (which means she is one smart baby)!!

Stretch marks? None

Sleep: Still not able to sleep through the night 

Best moment this week: Getting to hear Rylee's heartbeat at my appointment (Dr. L said she is a happy/healthy baby) and feeling her have hiccups for the first time!!
