38 weeks {Baby #2}

How far along? 38 weeks
Size of the babyOur baby is the size of a pumpkin! She is about 18.9-20.9 in long and weighs about 6.9-9.2 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? None
Sleep: It pretty much is the hardest thing these days to get comfortable enough to fall asleep and just when I think I am then I have to roll myself out of bed to go pee for the millionth time! Started using an extra pillow just for my big belly. I have been having very vivid dreams lately which for some reason makes me wake up in the middle of the night hot and sweating to death. Lets just say I miss sleeping through the night comfortably.
Best moment this week: Much needed pedicure, getting a sneak peek at Baby Rayna in an ultrasound that my doctor requested (see below), having one day/night kid free thanks to Tamera who took Rylee on a road trip to see my parents (eventhugh I missed her like crazy the whole 24 hours she was gone), and taking Rylee to Frozen on Ice (soooo much fun), and the fact that Rylee is learning/saying sister's name (says Rayon instead of Rayna lol) all the time now....melts my heart!!
Worst moment this week: Monday, at my 37 week apt Rayna was measuring 33 weeks instead of 37 weeks (last week she measured 34 weeks at my 36 week apt). My doctor requested an ultrasound to check on her to make sure everything was fine. She said it could be the fact that she has dropped and is just in the wrong position to get measured correctly or something else...I of course was a nervous wreck hoping that she was perfectly fine. Come to find out my ultrasound was perfect and Rayna looked perfect (thank goodness)! The doctor said my belly is deceiving because she is actually measuring exactly on track! She is a little chunk like her sister was....her weight as of now is 7.2 lbs already and her little (not so little) belly is in the 89%. My doctor estimated that she will weigh between 8-9 lbs when she is born (can induce at 39 weeks or wait till due date). Honestly, I am a little nervous about how big she will be but just happy she is growing healthy & on track. So thankful there was nothing wrong and that we do not have to induce early.
Miss Anything? Just being comfortable and having energy. Sleep is definitely still a challenge these days and lately it is getting harder to chase Rylee around, pick her up, bend down to tie my shoes, etc. (Basically the simple things!)
Movement: Still lots of movement and hiccups!
Food cravingsMexican food, sweets, and Dr. Pepper
Anything making you queasy or sickNo
Have you started to show yet: Yes!
GenderGIRL!! Rayna Elyse Sosbe <3
Labor SignsNo
Pregnancy SymptomsSwollen feet/hands, lots of restroom breaks, and having more discomfort!!
Belly Button in or out? Still in but I feel like it will pop out any day now!!
How are you feeling? Good but feeling very uncomfortable lately
Looking forward to: My 38 week apt next week! <Apt update: I haven't made much change in the last week (just the fact that my cervix is about 70% thinned out). The doctor told me that she does not see any need to induce next week (39 weeks) and they do not induce on the weekends (my due date) so unless Rayna decided to come on her own we will schedule an induction date the beginning of the following week after my due date. Looks like she will be a May baby!! :)

Here's a sneak peek at Rayna's cute little face! She has the same big cheeks and lips like her sister when she was born that I cannot wait to kiss all over! :)

Best moment this week: Took Rylee to go bowling for the first time and she LOVED it! Trying to squeeze in lots of fun things to do with her before little sister arrives.

Looking forward to: A night out to celebrate my sister's birthday while Rylee has a sleepover with her cousins and the start of my weekly visits to see the doctor. I might get a ultrasound next week if baby girl is measuring small again which I hope she is not too small but would LOVE to get a sneak peek at her again! I haven't seen her in an ultrasound since 20 weeks so I'm sure she has changed quite a bit!!

Big sis had to get a picture too...such a ham!! :)

Cousin sleepover!!
Fun night out with the family...belly & all! ;)

Rylee lately...

Once again I am LOVING this age Rylee is at right now. Of course, it comes with its moments of acting like a 'terrible two' but overall it's great! She is full of energy and spunk and talks up a storm. She is our wild child that never stops entertaining us and making us laugh. It is so cute when she says anything....I just love her sweet little voice. She is still a very independent little girl with a strong personality. This can be both good and bad at times lol. At her 2.5 yr check up the doctor said she looked great weighing 31 lbs and 35.25 in tall.

Favorites: Rylee still loves going to TLG weekly, playing in the YMCA nursery when Mommy goes to work out, being outside, coloring, stickers, painting, puzzles, dancing/singing, watching her favorite movies, holding Mommy & Daddy's hand, giving Mommy and Daddy and little sister lots of sugars<3 (she always says awwww after she gets a sugar and it is the cutest thing), playing ball with Mali, horses aka hee-haws/ponies & My Little Pony, going bye bye (anywhere is fine with her...she loves to just go), playing with her cousins, bath time, her big girl room/bed, going fishing with Daddy (we got her her very own fishing pole), chasing/running from Daddy, tickling Daddy, random dance parties when her favorite jams come on (in the house, in the car, anywhere) and she always shouts, 'Mommy dance!', and our new morning routine...waking up, tee teeing in the potty, climbing in Mommy's big bed, drinking her milk, and watching cartoons. And I am loving it!

Foods: Pizza, chicken nuggets, fruits, applesauce, carrots, cucumbers, rice, beans, fries, yogurt, cake, cookies, any type of pasta, ketchup (loves to dip), eggos, cheesy rollups, etc.

Fav Words/Phrases: Mommy, Daddy or Mike, RyRy, Pops, Granna, Mera, Debbie, CoCo, NayNay, Kate, KK (Kynlee), Mali, KiKi, Pat (her teacher), baby, sister, her animals/sounds, parts of body (my favorites right now to hear her say are hips for lips and beets for feet LOL), her colors, numbers (1-10 with a little help), uh huh, yes, no, tee tee, poo poo, 'I tipid!' aka I tooted LOL, nack (snack), outside, milk, cake, pizza, fishy, jump, run, freeze, fast, 'I did it!', 'I'm going to check on...', help, hand (for I need your hand to hold), Ohhhh that is cute Mommy (when I color pictures with her lol), M&M, 'It's not working' when a toy doesn't work or when she sits on the potty and can't go LOL, 'Be Nice!', 'Jump real high ew ah ahs!' aka jump real high at Monkey Joes, sure (and raises her hand...not sure why but it is cute), thanks, please, 'No, it's not!' (when something is not working or she uses this to say no lol), 'I want to sit on bunny'- when telling her about seeing the Easter bunny (she is really excited which is great because last year was an epic fail lol), 'I want to run Daddy' (when chasing Daddy), 'No Way!',  etc.

Currently: Rylee is such a BIG girl! She is growing so fast and learning so quickly! She knows all her body parts, can count up to 10, knows all her colors, and is becoming a much better listener and helper everyday!! She has been in her big girl bed for the past several months now and has done GREAT!! We just registered her for pre-school on MWF starting this Fall....so hard to believe she is ready for school!! I know she will love it and do great....I will just miss her so much during the day but it will give me some one on one time with baby girl. She has also (FINALLY) become potty trained...WOO HOO!! She tells us everytime she needs to teetee or poopoo and has been accident free since we started potty training! She has done great riding in the car and going out in public also!! She even has been waking up dry (sometimes) in the morning but she still wears pull ups just in case aka sleeping panties. So happy to be diaper free until baby sister arrives...WOOHOO!!!

36 weeks {Baby #2}

How far along? 36 weeks
Size of the babyOur baby is the size of a honeydew. About 17.2-18.7 in long and about 4.2-5.8 lbs. She is getting closer to being able to breath on her own and her skin is getting smooth & soft!
Best moment this week: Started packing my hospital bag and Rayna's things which made this whole pregnancy a lot more REAL even though I have an obvious growing belly. Getting so close to meeting our newest little girl!! Also, received a couple packages that I ordered for baby girl this week (headbands and onesie stickers)! Got to do some fun stuff with big sister too...went to the park, took her to visit the Easter Bunny (which she LOVED this year!), weekly little gym date, shopping & lunch, play date with our neighbor, got to meet my other neighbor's new puppy dog which she calls baby ruff ruff and LOVES, and brought her to take Bluebonnet pics!
Worst moment this week: Not really a bad moment this week....just feeling lots of pressure and discomfort all the time!
Miss Anything? Just being comfortable. Sleep is definitely still a challenge these days! It takes forever to find a position that works and then once I do, I have to either get up to pee or the baby starts moving like crazy!
Movement: Her movement hasn't changed at all....lots of kicks & rolls! Love them all!
Food cravingsMexican food, sweets, and Dr. Pepper (limiting my caffeine though)
Anything making you queasy or sickNo
Have you started to show yet: Yes!

Looking forward to:
  • Fun Easter activities this weekend including dying Easter eggs for the first time, another Easter egg hunt (since Daddy missed the egg hunt at church last weekend), Easter lunch with my whole family while my parents visit, and Easter Sunday with my little family.
  • Getting to see my parents (who she LOVES) when they come up one day this week to visit!
  • I am also looking forward to my 36 week apt next week when my doctor finally measures and estimates the baby's weight. I am nervous that this little girl will be big like her sister was (Rylee was 8.3 lbs when she was born)! <36 week apt update: Heartbeat - 125 bpm, measuring 34 weeks instead of 36 weeks most likely because she has dropped (is next week she is still measuring small then she will do an ultrasound to check on her), she estimated that she will weigh around 7 lbs (we will see...Rylee had the same estimate and weighed 8.3 lbs!), no weight gain in the last two weeks (actually lost 2 lbs since my last visit), dilated 1 cm already, and I start next week going every week to the doctor!>
