20 weeks and It's a...

GIRL

Today was such an amazing and memorable day that Mike and I will never forget. We have been waiting for this day ever since we found out we were pregnant. Our appointment was the first one this morning at 9:00 am. As soon as we went into the ultrasound room we were able to to see our baby and find out that Baby Sosbe is a GIRL!!!! We could not take our eyes off the screen! Once the doctor told us we were having a girl I felt a huge rush of emotions! I immediately began crying tears of joy when I heard the news. The last time we saw her was at 11 weeks so it had been a long time and boy did she look bigger! The doctor told us all of her measurements were absolutely perfect and she is measuring in the 76th percentile of her weight (as of now) which means she is a little chubby :)

Our sweet baby girl<3

After our appointment we stopped by the store to pick up some pink balloons and stuffed them into a mystery gender box (thanks to Pinterest for the idea). We wanted to surprise both of our families with this idea but unfortunately they could not all be there, but we were able to surprise my mom, sister, and niece. The pictures are priceless! They were both shocked and excited!!!

We feel so blessed that our sweet little girl is growing healthy and strong. She is already so loved by so many people and we can not wait to meet her in July!

Announcing the BIG news

So this is how it all began...I took a pregnancy test on November 9th (the day before my missed period) because I am super impatient and sad to say it was negative. I was extremely disappointed and now just had to wait until my expected period the next day. After waiting three days and it still not coming my sister finally convinced me I might have taken the test too soon. So, on November 12th I took another pregnancy test (actually two) and three long minutes later it was POSITIVE!!!
I could not believe my eyes. I immediately broke down in tears of joy. Unfortunately, Mike was on a fishing trip and I had to wait until he returned later that night. I left the pregnancy test and a card on the bathroom counter (since he had to shower when he got home) and waited for his reaction.
After waiting impatiently for Mike to finally get all of his fishing stuff out of his car he eventually went into the bathroom. A few seconds later he rushed out of the bathroom grinning from ear to ear and asked, "Really??!!" with so much happiness and excitement. He was over joyed!!!
Proud daddy to be:
We shared the news with Mike's family while visiting them in Tennessee for Thanksgiving. Mike told Justin he better not eat all the food this year because Kaella is eating for two!!
We shared the news with my family by telling Westin and Tamera on the phone. We told Kristin and Nathan over dinner. After our first appointment on November 29th we told my mom when she was in town by giving her a ream of paper (that she wanted from us) with Baby Sosbe's first ultrasound picture!
Last but not least I called my dad and his exact words were, "Good Gracious!" LOL...he is so funny! Needless to say both of our families were beyond excited for us and so happy for our future summer baby :)

We wanted to wait until I finished my first trimester to announce this amazing news to the rest of our family and friends, which we did on Facebook and phone calls!
Mike and I are so grateful and blessed to have so many loving and supporting people in our lives. I can not wait until Baby Sosbe arrives to meet all of them! I am so glad the news is finally out (I hate keeping secrets) and let the fun and shopping begin!!

Great news to share...

Mike and I are EXPECTING!!!
It has been a tough journey to get to this happy moment so it goes without saying that I am truly the happiest I have ever been!! Words cannot express how excited and thankful we feel to be given this wonderful gift.  Mike and I can not wait to become a family of three. We look forward to cherishing every moment during this pregnancy (the good and the bad). Even though we do not know what we are having we are both already so in love and proud of this little miracle in our ultrasound picture. Knowing he/she doesn't look like much now, but that it is the start of something very special and life changing for us :)

Here's the proof :)

Love at first sight<3
Baby Sosbe at 6 weeks
Baby Sosbe at 9 weeks
Baby Sosbe at 11 weeks
They even gave us a 4D sneak peek!
I honestly never knew that I could love someone so much without even meeting him/her, but Baby Sosbe has truly captured a HUGE piece of my heart already.

We are so excited about 2012 and cannot wait to meet our little summer baby due on July 24th! We hope and pray for the best and are so excited to watch Baby Sosbe continue to grow. Thank you Lord for this amazing gift you have blessed Mike and I with. I can not wait to see what you have in store for our sweet baby!!
